21 Things That Got Me Through Dieting and Contest Prep
We are deep into the part of the year most bodybuilders are in their off season. Regional and world contests are over and everyone is happily eating more and doing less cardio. Cuz, I certainly am! But we are also at a point in the year when many are planning their next prep into spring and fall shows for 2017.
In lieu of those planning their next prep, I wanted to do a BIG OL GIVEAWAY of all the things that got me through my last prep dieting down, kept me sane, my food tasty and by body in shape. What I want to share with you are my top 10 favorite things that got me through prep. Then I will be giving away not one but TWO big packages of my favorite things that got me through prep.

Most Fit straps are great for at home workouts and traveling. They are like TRX straps but portable. I also use these at playgrounds or outside slung over a tree.

I used these darn resistance bands on every trip and we traveled a lot! They came in SO handy to keep me on track!

Zevia was the BEST craving curber without adding any carbs or sugar! It tastes great and is kind of filling with all the carbonation.
Great for blood sugar stabilization and flavor. I love putting this on sweet potatoes and in my coffee.
Zero calorie syrup that goes great on everything! I put it in my oatmeal, on canadian bacon and of course, pancakes on high carb day.
This is an EXCELLENT sauce with great flavor and free of junk I don’t want to eat. I LOVE this stuff and put literally put this on everything. Sometimes I would mix some mustard into it too.
I also put this on everything (when I ran out of Redhead Chipotle Sauce! Chicken, turkey burgers, pickles. This also makes a great veggie dip when mixed with ranch dressing seasoning mix.
8. Deli slices with laughing cow cheese wedges
I loved rolling up turkey or ham slices with laughing cow cheese spread in the middle. Low fat and super tasty!
9. Coffee- bullet proof coffee to be exact.
I need to drink a good quality coffee. Crap coffee tastes totally different and gives me the jitters. This coffee is also tested free of 27 molds and micotoxins. Bonus!
If you followed my 2016 prep, you knew I made this pretty much everyday for breakfast with blueberries and walden farm pancake syrup.
I made this darn things so many times. I needed a break from the angel food cake at some point! 😀 They are fluffy and yummy and so did the trick!
At the beginning of my prep I made these daily. They made 6 and I could eat all of them for one meal!
Pickles are super yummy low calories snacks to munch on. I like to dip mine in ketchup. I know, I am weird.
Minty gum really helped me in the evenings to keep from snacking on things I shouldn’t! It had to be minty. Not cupcake or fruity flavor!
17. Peanut Butter Powder
Peanut butter powder is da BOMB when you want some peanutty flavor in a smoothie or in a recipe! No fat with all the benefits of peanut butter. I loved eating it with a spoon mixed with a little water! Check out 31 Uses for Peanut Butter Powder.
Swannies are blue blocking glasses that you wear at night to block blue light from artificial lights we have in our homes and businesses. Blue light that hits your eyes after the sun has set hinders your melatonin production which affects your sleep quality. You especially need these if you are scrolling through facebook or playing candycrush before bed!!!
You can buy a cheaper version of swannies here. I have both pairs and where them interchangeably. Swannies are just better looking for when you go out on the town.
19. 5 htp + Melatonin
I had to use these supplement toward the end of prep when I was getting lean and my parasympathetic nervous system was stressed from dieting, workouts and life! I couldn’t get to sleep half the time or my sleep quality sucked. I took this stuff about 15 min before bed and it knocked me right out.
20. Great Athletic Wear

21. Silicone rings
These are the BEST most functional rings ever!! They are so comfortable and I can lift with them on!

Just got my silicon ring! This was the best mother effin invention there ever was! I can wear this sucker doing everything! I stopped wearing my engagement and wedding rings 2 years ago because I kept taking them off to lift. I then lost my wedding ring at one point and never found it at the gym!!! I am in love!!
