Strength Training Down Under- and I’m not talking about Australia!
About 5 months ago, I was out with some friends for a little dance and drink action when a very interesting subject arose. Once the liquor starts flowin, we all get a little loose with our tongues…. and we, of course, talk about sex. Who doesn’t!?
Oh yeah, I was interested! But, how the H do you lift with your Va-J J?! The images that were going through my head regarding lifting with my lady parts were incomprehensible until she informed me of the Jade egg.
(ps: what I bought):
The jade egg allows you to lift objects with your down under muscles. There is a small hole drilled through one end of the jade egg so you can thread a piece of un-waxed dental floss through the hole or thread the floss through an already existing thread shown below.
Once you have attached the floss to the egg, attach the other end to an object. I found using a water bottle worked well as you can fill it with water to increase or decrease weight. Then insert the egg and lift away.
For the beginner, the large egg is the easiest to hold in while the small egg is for more advanced lady part lifters as it is the hardest to hold in.
So yeah, I totally bought me some jade eggs on Amazon and eagerly began working on the fitness of my pelvic floor muscles. And NO, I am not making a video of me lifting with my naughty bits Dana and Rachelle!
I try to practice daily but forget occasionally. I have been using the large egg with a water bottle filled to weigh 3/4 pounds. I will usually do a wide, super slow sumo squat lifting the water bottle off the ground and then slowly lowering it again for 15-20 reps. This takes me about 5 minutes.
Here’s a little intro to the act of VL… this shit cracks me up!
